The Mail Component Software Development Kit (SDK)
The MXPlus™ Mail Component SDK allows programmers to add eMail to their applications with just a few lines
of code and an internet connection (that's right, no SMTP).
Take a free 30-day trial now!
Main Features
- All you need is an internet connection and a valid set of MXPlus logon credentials.
You don't need your own SMTP server or anything similar. MXPlus
operates on it's own platform. That means you get no SPAM and what you send is unaffected
by internet SPAM filters so your mail ALWAYS gets through.
- Cost-Effective: Your corporate MXPlus membership comes with 2 free SDK licenses.
Additional licenses are required for each computer at a LOW one-time fee.
- SDK licenses are transferable amongst computers AND are remotely managed by YOU.
- Security: You control many features of what your application can do remotely.
You can activate or deactivate your component, control how many messages it can send
in a day etc., all from within your MXPlus client software.
What can I use the MXPlus Component for?
Types of applications you might want to build:
- Help Desk / Support applications. Allow your customers to contact your office via
MXPlus messages. All communication traffic with MXPlus is secure and encrypted so no matter
what your business is, or who regulates it, you're in compliance with MXPlus.
- Application Monitoring / Error Reporting applications. Need to send an urgent message
when your database goes down? How about daily, weekly, monthly system status reports?
- Interoffice SECURE email that can be accessed via the world wide web.
Here are some example business models to think about when considering how to use MXPlus in
your application.
Scenario 1: I want to create an application that sends MXPlus mail from me to my customers.
Solution A (the customer bears the cost): The customer joins Mail Exchange Plus
at any membership level for as little as $10.00 per year. In your application you would:
- 'Hard code' the MXPlus logon credentials for your company.
- Allow the customer to enter their MXPlus credentials (their account number and
email address) in YOUR configuration/setup as the recipient.
- Your application would create MXPlus messages that were "from" you "to" them.
All correspondence would automatically show up in "your" Sent Items mailbox and in
"their" Inbox mailbox.
Solution B (you bear the cost): You join Mail Exchange Plus with an appropriate
corporate membership that allows a sufficient number of users to accommodate both your company
and all of your customers (note that for large companies with many users the yearly cost per user
is less than $1.00). In your application you would:
- 'Hard code' the MXPlus logon credentials for your company / logon ID.
- Add the relevant customers to your company as "Read & Reply Only" users. Users
designated as "Read & Reply Only" can only receive mail and reply to mail that has been
sent to them (thus they cannot incur postage charges or use up your postage credits).
- Configure your application to send messages to those relevant customers at their email
address (logon id) and with YOUR MXPlus account number.
- This solution insures that your customer has absolutely NO COST with regards to MXPlus.
They can use either the WEB based mail client OR they can download the MS Windows MXPlus
Desktop Client application. They log in with their regular email address.
Scenario 2: I want to create an application that sends MXPlus mail from my customers to me.
Solution A (the customer bears the cost): The customer joins Mail Exchange Plus
at any membership level for as little as $10.00 per year. In your application you would:
- 'Hard code' your MXPlus logon credentials (your account number, email address to be the 'recipient'.
- Allow the customer to enter their MXPlus credentials (their account number and email address
and password) in YOUR configuration/setup as the sender.
- Your application would create MXPlus messages that were "from" them "to" you.
All correspondence would automatically show up in "your" Inbox mailbox and in "their"
Sent Items mailbox.
Solution B (you bear the cost): You join Mail Exchange Plus with an appropriate
corporate membership that allows a sufficient number of users to accommodate both your company and
all of your customers (note that for large companies with many users the yearly cost per user is
less than $1.00). In your application you would:
- 'Hard code' the MXPlus logon credentials for your company / logon ID.

designated as "Read & Reply Only" can only receive mail and reply to mail that has been
sent to them (thus they cannot incur postage charges or use up your postage credits).
What abount Spam?
Spammers won't find MXPlus much help in their endeavours, we have built-in a number features that make
the SDK a real uphill struggle for spammers (not the least being that when using the Mail Component
you are required to know the recipient's Account Number, which can only be acquired by having the
Account holder give it to you).
MXPlus is a private members network, we do not have to tolerate spam, so we don't.
